Dr. Haque in the area of Immunology and Cancer Biology and has special focus on Stem Cells to treat immune mediated diseases. Currently, Dr. Haque is involved in the generation of immune cells, mainly T cells and Treg cells from stem cells, which can be used for adoptive immunotherapy and likely to contribute toward treatments of cancers, asthma, and autoimmune diseases. His breakthrough research and his background are significant for developing therapeutic immune cells to treat cancer. Dr. Haque has made significant contributions, which are evident from his 46 publications in a variety of top-class scientific journals and his research citation of more than 2700 times by other research groups worldwide, with an h-index of 19 and i10 index of 25. He is the Principal Investigator (PI) in SERB and DST-FIST funded research projects and served as Co-PI in 5 research projects in the USA.

Research:
  • Dissecting the role of Telomerase complex and Notch signaling in the modulation of Cancer and Rheumatoid arthritis.
  • Development of antigen based cellular vaccine for cancer and other infectious diseases.
