Central Instrument Facility (CIF) was established at Central university of South Bihar (CUSB), Gaya in the year 2019 with the support from the Departments & University fund. The CIF, is being operated and maintained by a dedicated and qualified group of Faculty and Technical staffs. It aims to provide a central facility consisting of the latest and advanced analytical Instruments to facilitate multidisciplinary research and to cater to the needs of academic research institutes, universities, and industries for high-end material. This facility is open to all the researchers from universities, academic institutes, national research institutes, Private institutes, and industries.

Facilitate the researcher with modern technology in science.

Objective

  • To provide guidance for acquisition of data using Sophisticated Instruments.
  • To organize workshops on the use and application of various spectroscopic and analytical techniques for students, teachers and personnel from other Laboratories, Universities and Industries.
  • To provide facilities of sophisticated analytical instruments to scientists and other users from academic institutes, R&D laboratories and industries to enable them to carry out measurements for R&D work.

Please note, our current policy requires analysis that payment be received before the samples can be registered and analysis taken up. Please make sure that the payment is received along with the samples. Payments are to be made by either demand draft (DD) or online through SBI collect.

Procedure for Availing Facility

The instruments are available to all the students, research scholars and faculty members of the university and affiliated institutions and also other educational institutions, research labs and industry on chargeable basis as mentioned in the table below. The users are to submit the requisition forms with the samples. Outstation users may contact the centre by e-mail to reserve time slot for their use and visit with the samples on the date of appointment.

How to submit the samples ?

The samples should be submitted in the prescribed format indicating the information called for as well as your special requirement, if any. If you are sending them by mail, please enclose the payment details along with the samples and address the same to:

Only on receipt of the payment along with the samples, they will be registered for analysis and taken up for measurement as per the seniority/queue of the users of the instrument concerned. As soon as the analysis is over, the spectra along with the receipt / bill will be sent to the users. While submitting samples for more than one analysis separate samples are to be sent for each.
