Research Interests:

My research areas are the political ecology of forest conservation, environmental governance, water and urban ecology. I am also interested in the area of decolonization and development in Global South. My M.Phil and PhD work gave me an opportunity to work among the tribals in the tribal dominated regions of eastern India. I have worked on common pool resources, natural resource management, sanitation and local governance. I do policy studies on health, education, livelihood, gender and energy. My expertise is on qualitative research methods. I do interdisciplinary research. I would be interested in potential collaborations in areas related with environment, tribal, rural and urban governance.
